Training Schedule

Training and Capacity Building programme for Child Protection

*Three Day State Level Training Programme for Government/NGO/CWC/JJB/Police / Judicial functionaries working in the institutions established under the JJ Act 2000 aims at sensitizing and orienting participants to the JJ Act 2000, to develop clarity and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of different personnel and agencies in the implementation of the Act, to create an understanding of the concepts of vocational training and networking skills for such components and to develop skills in handling children under the Act.

*Five Day Training Programme on Counselling Skills for Street Educators working with children to strengthen their capability to provide effective child care services. The programme focused on providing basic communication and counselling skills to street educators to effectively carry out their job. In addition, the programme also deals with some specialized issues like child sexual abuse, drug abuse and HIV/AIDS amongst children, etc.

*Three Day Regional Level Training Programmes for Govt./NGO/Juvenile Justice Board Members, Child Welfare Committee members, Police and Judiciary aims at orienting and sensitizing JJB Members and CWC Members, Police and Judiciary on the provisions of the JJ Act 2000 to ensure effective implementation of the provisions of the Act through group discussion , Brian storming etc.

*3-Day Regional Level Multi sectoral Training Programmes on available schemes and programmes for working children for Govt/ NGO Functionaries aims at orienting and sensitizing personnel on existing programmes at national and International level for the working children and to evolve new intervention strategy to effectively combat this issue

*Three Day Regional level Orientation & Training Programme for functionaries of Police Training Academy On JJ Act 2000 aims at sensitizing and orienting participants to the Juvenile Justice Act 2000, sensitizing the officer trainees to deal with children in interface with law, and developing clarity and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of police officers in the juvenile justice system.

Strategic consultations and workshops such as

*Two Day National consultation meet for CHILDLINE Directors to provide a platform to NGOs working under CHILDLINE umbrella throughout the country and to discuss emerging issues with the representatives of Ministry, NISD and CHILDLINE India Foundation

*One- Day NICP Workshop- Sensitization of Allied Systems aims at sensitizing the members of allied systems on Juvenile Justice Act 2000 and other child protection issues to create awareness as well as get their active support in creating a child friendly environment in the country
